Portello
River Festival, takes place in a specific area of the city, one which
is at risk of becoming derelict, abandoned, and seeks to re-discover the
area and valorise its potential as a meeting place for all, and a place
for cultural events. The 2007 Festival is the third edition.
Thanks to the increasing contributions from International organisations,
associations and individual artistes, artists and cultural workers, this
year’s edition will be even more varied. Furthermore, for the first
time a Concorso Internationale, International competition for Shorts has
been organised.
This programme seeks to contribute towards recognising identity and cohesion
within a community, the generations, a group, a city and tries to go beyond
geographical borders so as to break down cultural and political barriers.
Making a contribution to knowledge and understanding of diversity, working
towards a policy of inclusion for all.
